Shokz Starcraft 2 Guide

Hey there and welcome to my Shokz Starcraft 2 Guide review. If you’re wondering whether to get the Shokz Starcraft 2 Guide, you should read the reviews in the blog posts below.

After months of playing Starcraft 2 casually, I have finally reached the Platinum league on my server. I guess I am not a total freak when it comes to gaming or I might have reach Platinum sooner. I think it would take a nice run of luck to get into Diamond, but I’m keeping my fingers crossed!

Playing Starcraft 2 on the battlenet is really tough without the Shokz Guide. Take it from me, I have so many friends who have literally given up on the game coz they’ve been stuck in Copper and Silver since the game started.

They refuse to buy the Shokz Guide coz they feel like it’s kinda like cheating, and they really don’t have the free time to spare to study all the strategies in the guide, like me.

The thing about most of my friends is, they gg below 3 minutes in almost all of their games. The frustration they face is enormous and I couldn’t do much to help them coz my main race is Zerg. They mostly play Terran because they find it easier (for some reason).

Yea, so you have it. Starcraft 2 on battlenet is tough. But the Shokz Guide will help you get past that, if you’re really serious about climbing the ladder. If you want an easier game, you should just play the World of Warcraft. Cataclysm will be coming on December 7 and I hear the new expansion will be totally sick!

I hope you find my Shokz Starcraft 2 Guide reviews below helpful! Do get it, if you’re willing to invest in getting better at SC2. This guide is awesome and is simply the best in the market today.

See You at The Top!

Shokz Guide Preview

Hi there.. If you’re wondering whether the Shokz Guide is a scam, my personal answer is a resounding *NO*. Experienced players who claim that this guide is a scam simply don’t want you to buy this guide, so that they can continue to dominate their BattleNet ladders.

In this post, I will give you a quick preview of what you’ll find in the member’s area of the Shokz Guide coz some of you have asked me for it .. Here’s a screen shot with my scribbles.

Side Note: If you scroll down to my previous posts below, you will be able to read more on the Shokz Guide and some beginner Starcraft 2 multi-player tips and strategies.

Shokz Guide Review

Price: $37 (one time fee for lifetime updates)

Website: ShokzGuide.com

The Shokz Guide is an online member’s site that is constantly updated with new strategies and videos. The layout is very clean and simple. The links for each chapter and section of the guide are meticulously organized on an easy to use left hand side-bar. You will not receive a 300+ page pdf that is hard to refer to, but you can print any section of the Shokz Guide when you need it.

There’s really a lot of content in the member’s area, so I will try to keep this preview short and sweet. Here’s what you will be able to access after you buy the Shokz Guide:-

Section 1: Wings of Liberty Campaign Guide – Each mission is covered individually and comes with a very good instructional video at Brutal difficulty. This is super useful when you’re stuck in your single player campaign.

Section 2: Beginners Guides – This newbie guide covers the basics, fundamentals and introduces the terminology used by Starcrafters. You will get a brief introduction to concepts like supply and resource management, positioning, kiting and teching.

Section 3: Hot Key & APM Guide – Get insights on great hot key setups, control groups and shift command strategies here.

Section 4: Custom Training Maps – This is extremely useful for learning how to counter enemy units. You can also try out your multitasking and build orders here.

Section 5: General Guides – Find nuggets of useful information on race comparisons, resource gathering, scouting, choking, map control and even Starcraft 2 cheat codes.

Section 6 & 7: Terran Gameplay Strategies and Individual Terran Unit Guides

Section 8 & 9: Protoss Gameplay Strategies and Individual Protoss Unit Guides

Section 10 & 11: Zerg Gameplay Strategies and Individual Zerg Unit Guides

Section 12: Team Guides – This guide was soooo totally awesome for me. It really helped me so much with 2v2.

Section 13: Achievement Guide – This one was really cool. You can learn how to get Achievements from your solo missions and fancy ones like the Feats of Strength (like in WoW) and Combat Achievements.

Section 14: Galaxy Editor Guide – This guide is super sexy if you are into creating your own units.

The Shokz Guide is huge! … But here’s what I really like about the guide. Shokz recently added a Strategy Request feature which lets members propose and vote for content to be researched and added into the guide. So, if you buy this guide a couple of months from the time of this post, you may find that the sections I’ve mentioned above may have changed with additional information.

Also, the Shokz Guide is very easy to read and understand for newbies. The information is highly organized and constantly updated, so veteran players will also get their bang for their bucks with the Shokz Guide.

I hope you’ve found this post really helpful! Cheers!

Shokz Guide Scam?

Hi there! Thanks for visiting my blog on the Shokz Guide. I’m an avid SC2 and WoW gamer. When I first started playing Starcraft 2 back in the beta stages, I was thrilled. To me, the best thing about Starcraft is it never gets boring as the strategies and gameplay tactics that you use will continue to evolve as you develop as a player.

I discovered the Shokz Guide a couple of months back, even before Starcraft 2 launched world-wide. What I really really like about the Shokz Guide is that there are 100′s of strategies and instructional videos that you can use to learn how to play SC 2 really well, regardless of your race. Tweaking my game with even just 1 strategy improved my game tremendously. It’s shocking! And the best thing is … the updates keep coming and all for free.

To tell you the truth, I was a bit skeptical at first and was reluctant to get the Shokz Guide for myself. Afterall, I was an experienced Starcraft & Brood War player. The thing was, I was so rusty … and I was missing out on some key fundamental strategies, which cost me a lot of wins. My ranking was shaky and I was stuck in the Silver division.

But today, I have gained a place in the Platinum division on my server. Getting into the Diamond division might be a tall order for me as I am a pretty casual player. I rarely play more than 3 hours a day due to my other time commitments. Nevertheless, I will keep trying coz I am a SC2 multi-player adrenaline junkie!

So, is the Shokz Guide a scam? Speaking from personal experience, my answer is a resounding no. Shokz Guide is not a scam.

In fact, a pal of mine recently bought one of the other Starcraft 2 guides online and he let me check it out (just out of curiousity). I discovered that the other Starcraft 2 guide to be a rehashed (cloned) version of the Shokz Guide.

On top of that, the information in the other guides are updated much later than the Shokz Guide. That kinda confirms my suspicions that the other SC2 guides out there are clones of the Shokz Guide. Some even charge a monthly fee! So, be careful.

NOTE: You don’t have to pay a monthly fee just to get updates with the Shokz Guide. You will get daily updates for life after you pay the one time fee! Now, that’s really really convenient and very helpful for any Starcraft 2 gamer, even if you are a casual player.

Before I go, here’s another great Starcraft 2 tip that I discovered a while back. It was a really good tactic used by TheLittleOne, one of Starcraft 2′s best players in the world, and it’s something that will help your game out tremendously if you are a newbie.

If you’re only starting out Starcraft 2 and/or your win-loss ratio is already pretty bad, try playing with a random race at first. It won’t hurt one bit.

By doing this, you will discover the neat strengths and weaknesses of each Starcraft 2 race firsthand! Thereafter, pick a race that suits your style the best.

If you like massing a huge scary army, go with the Zerg (my favourite race). If you like working with raw firepower, go with the Terran. Now, if you’re a perfectionist and like playing with finesse, go with the Protoss.

Obviously, this is just the tip of the iceberg. When I was stuck in the dredges of the Silver division a few months ago in the beta version of the game, this little tactic really helped me out to understand the SC2 races better.

Finally, here’s the SECRET to climbing the SC2 ladder: You will need to master at least 1 race. The pros call it your ‘main race’. You need this to get into the Gold division and stay there … If you’re looking to fast track your way up the Starcraft 2 ladder, I would recommend the #1 SC2 guide in the market, the awesome Shokz Guide.

7 Crucial Starcraft 2 Strategy Tips

Hey there, Starcraft 2 fans. This blog is dedicated to the Shokz Guide. I have used it and it has been a real help to my game. Do give it a try if you’re looking for a way to boost your game.

Click Here to Get The Shokz Starcraft 2 Guide.

Anyway, in this post, I would like to share some tips to help you get a small headstart on your multi-player campaign in Starcraft 2. Using the Shokz Guide will really boost your game, but these free tips that I am about to share with you should help you find a way to avoid losing all the time.

1. Build Your Economy and Resources

Everything you build in Starcraft 2 requires minerals and vespene gas. As a general rule of thumb, at the start of your game, focus on gathering minerals first. You should have at least 10 gatherers in your primary base before building a vespene geysers. When you have a vespene geyser, attach at least 3 gatherers to each of them.

Building gatherers constantly is another useful tip that I have always used in my game. The stronger your economy is, the stronger your army will be. Expanding to your second base is also crucial for staying in the game. You cannot win with just 1 base. Nevertheless, expanding too fast may deplete your defensive capabilities.

So timing your expansion is very very important, especially if the natural expansion you are aiming for is open to easy attacks from your enemies.

2. Early Attacks (Rushing) in Starcraft 2

If you are a very attack minded opponent, an early attack is always good to keep your enemies on their toes. Always go after your opponent’s gatherers. This will hurt your enemy’s economy and ability to build additional items.

Do not attack any buildings unless you have a strategic reason to. As building usually take a while to destroy and your enemy will have enough time to rally his defensive forces. If you are attacking a Protoss army, do go after a lone Pylon which is powering 2 or 3 buildings (especially a Gateway). This will slow down his ability to create Zealots, Stalkers or Sentries.

Do not commit to an early attack unless you are sure that it will give you an advantage. Good players usually wait for a crucial upgrade to their units before launching an attack.

3. Spending Your Minerals and Vespene Gas Wisely

As there will be a limited supply of minerals and gas throughout the game, you should spend it wisely. To do this, you need to have a build plan already in mind. What units to use, what upgrades would help most and what buildings to build next.

It’s always easy to queue your production units up but this can sometimes be a waste of resources. The minerals and gas used up in queuing up your units may be better spent on upgrades, other units or other buildings.

4. The Best Offense is A Good Defense

When you are a new player, it always makes sense to have a good defense around your base. Build spine crawlers, spore crawlers, bunkers, turrets or photon cannons to ensure your base is safe against sudden or unexpected attacks. These defensive structures will buy you some time to bring your army to the location of the attack and reinforce your defenses.

If a more experienced players takes out 50% of your gatherers and most of you army with an early attack, it would almost certainly mean a defeat for you.

A well-timed counter attack will be much better than sending all your forces out in an attack.

5. Defensive Base Building for Zergs, Protoss and Terrans

As Buildings general take a long time to destroy, use them as part of your defense. You might want to use building contain any offensive threats and to block off the ramp to stop enemy troops from running rampant through your base.

You might also want to cluster your Building near or around your mining gatherers. This can help keep some enemy forces our in the event of an attack. Close clustered buildings are also easier to defend generally.

6. Scouting Your Enemy Bases

Send out a scout to discover the location of your enemy’s base early in the game. Knowing where your enemy base is located is crucial to your game as you would want to watch whether he is expanding. A new expansion is usually quite vulnerable. A well timed attack while your enemy is expanding could well win you the game.

Scouts can also reveal crucial information on your enemies army composition. This will help you to decide on the appropriate counter strategies to take on your enemy’s armies.

As you’ll probably realize sooner or later, all the races in Starcraft 2 are closely balanced. So the trick to winning games is to have a stronger army mix against your enemies. Certain units will have an advantage or weakness against other units.

7. What is the Plan, man?

Having a gameplan is very important in Starcraft 2. Like chess, you need to have a few opening moves already in mind when you start the game. Know your tier 1 units well. Too many newbies lose in the first 5 minutes of the game as they are too obsessed with producing only marines, zealots and zerglings. A mix is so important to winning a game in Starcraft 2.

If you survive the tier 1 stage and progress into the mi-dgame, you will need to have a solid middle game strategy to give you a clear winning advantage. Fancy tier 2 units like air forces, anti-air forces, special ranged units, casters and such need to join the fray of your army mix. The right composition for you will send your enemies fleeing back to their bases.

Finally .. the end game .. if you are lucky enough to have the game progress to this stage, you might well see the arrival of Ultralisks, Brood Lords, Motherships, Carriers, Battlecruisers and Nukes. By now, you must have at least 4 expansions (bases) to support the expenses of building such an advanced army. But it will be worth it. These end game tier 3 units are totally sweet!

To learn how to play well through the early, mid and end games, you need to know your units and counter units very well. Your tech trees and building’s upgrade information needs to be at your finger tips. To learn all this as well as the strategies you will need to excel in Starcraft, you will need lots of practice, watching replays on youtube and the Shokz Guide.

The Shokz Guide will help you to understand all the fundamental aspects of Starcraft 2 much better. For example .. Learning how to control your units well, and build and tech up a formidable army .. are just a few hundred tricks you’ll learn with the Shokz Guide in Starcraft 2.

Shokz Guide

Hi there! Thanks for visiting my blog on the Shokz Guide Starcraft 2 Guide. I am so thrilled that Starcraft 2 has (finally!) been launched today as it has been a very happy hunting day for me. I racked up 11 wins in a row today because the servers are simply flooded with new players. Heh.

The reason why I am rolling this blog is to help others dominate Starcraft 2 too. You’ll be able to take advantage of the Starcraft 2 worldwide launch to get precious wins at the start of this new era in no time at all with help from the Shokz Guide. Now is the time to speed ahead .. so here’s my overview on what you’ll get with the Shokz Starcraft 2 Guide.

Shokz Guide – The Good Stuff

  • The Shokz Guide is a thorough guide – As a new or veteran (rusty) player like me, you’ll be able to catch up with some of the best in your server in a short time. It covers the basics to advance gameplay stuff you’ll need to know about Starcraft 2.
  • This is a balanced guide – You’ll discover tips and tricks for each of the Starcraft 2 races – Zerg, Protoss and Terrans and how to maximize your race.
  • This Starcraft 2 Guide is a great strategy guide – You’ll get to understand the different optimal build orders, strategic upgrades and tech tree so much better. You will also learn how to counter your opponent’s strengths and exploit their weaknesses regardless of their race.
  • This is a great battle guide – You’ll get to understand how to macro and micro so much better with your army’s mix of units. You’ll also get tips on how to counter your opponent’s gameplay strategies.
  • The Shokz Guide includes a campaign guide – You’ll be able to master the solo quests quickly and control your army units so much better.

Shokz Guide – The Bad Stuff

  • The strategies thought here are not as creative as what you’ll find when watching Starcraft 2 pro replays on YouTube. That will only come with lots of patience, practice and experience.
  • The guide does not teach you to develop a killer instinct for the game. Basically, you’ll learn all the textbook tactics and strategies. What will get you to the top of the battlenet ladder will still depend on your personal ability and race mastery.
  • You will not learn how to counter strange and random strategies (cheese plays) that some players may employ. Again, the reality of gameplay during Starcraft 2 is very subjective against another human player.
  • Doing well in Starcraft 2 also relies a lot on how well you multi-task. Building your army and teching up while attacking or defending is an artform. Reading this guide won’t teach you how to get your APM or clicks per minute up to 300 per minute. That will depend solely on your hand-eye coordination and ability. Practice makes perfect.

So, in a nutshell, The Shokz Guide is not going to miraculously transform you into a Starcraft 2 professional player overnight. But, it is a great buy for you to build your fundamental gaming knowledge and skills to get on top of your Starcraft 2 game. After using the Shokz Guide, I became less of a mess.

The Shokz Guide thought me all the correct basics and advance tactics so that I understood the game much better. For me, losing is not fun – especially if I didn’t play to the best of my abilities. I’ve applied the Shokz Guide and am Zergasmic about how it has worked to improve my game! Heh.

Nevertheless, I don’t think the Shokz Guide will work for just anyone, as winning sometimes depends on your gamestyle, your opponent, adrenaline management and experience in playing the game … but I was super pleasantly surprised at how well the Shokz Guide has worked for me. I actually bought it because it came with a money back guarantee, so I knew that there was very little risk in my purchase. In all honestly, I was really tired of losing all the time with my squishy Zergies .. but I am so glad that the guide has helped me to get a better at win-loss ratio on Starcraft 2.

So, I would recommend that you should give the Shokz Guide a try if you need it. After purchasing the guide, I have no regrets as my win-loss ratio has improved so much.

I only wish that there were more top-notch Zerg players out there like Dimaga (a pro player) to watch on YouTube. He plays with a lot of Zerg speedlings and upgraded roaches. I haven’t seen a consistent pro with good Hydralisk usage yet. TheLittleOne (my no1 favorite SC2 player) is a random race player. He’s super creative, though he has been leaning more to the Terran race a lot these days. The fearsome pros from Korea seem to favor the Protoss and Terran armies too.

Anyway, I think I should get some sleep soon … Here’s to you and getting to the top of your SC2 game!

Shokz Guide Review

Hi there! My name is Mark and welcome to my blog on the Shokz Guide. You could say that I am an avid gamer as I am a Starcraft 2 and WoW fan. I started playing Starcraft when the original game was first released and was hooked on Brood War expansion for ages. This was around 10 years ago, I think (has it really been that long?). When Starcraft 2 was finally released this year, I was one of the lucky few that got a beta key.

Playing Starcraft 2 on beta for the early part of this year has been totally awesome. As a casual player, I thoroughly enjoy the multi-player game and crazy strategies involved. Making split second decisions and knowing what to do when an “Oh, sh*t!” moment occurs is adrenaline pumping. Knowing what to build first, balancing your army, applying offensive and defensive strategies, and staying on top of everything is an immense challenge.

Anyway, the race I primary play is the Zerg as I love the animation and macro play that this army allows. I was sorely disappointed that the Zerg Lurkers are not a part of Starcraft 2. They’re simply the BEST unit, in my opinion. My favorite army mix back in the day was the Lurker-Defiler army. It was simply unstoppable.

But with Starcraft 2 (and no Lurkers and Defilers) I ended up macro-ing my army with Zerglings, Hydralisks and Mutalisks. This was a pretty costly and slow build and I lost more often than I won.

Without any upgrades, these units will go down easily against any Terran or Protoss army. So, I skipped around the internet to watch replays on YouTube to learn what the pros are doing. I do hate losing all the time.

The problem with watching Starcraft 2 replays on YouTube was, it was pretty time consuming. You will learn general strategies from watching replays, but it is not the same as learning it from a Starcraft 2 Guide, like the Shokz Guide. If you’ve noticed, when most Zerg players are up against a formidable Protoss army of Zealots, Sentries and Stalkers, the game ends quite prematurely. The Zerg Tier 1 units are really nowhere near the Protoss, in my opinion. Even the Terran Helions tear up the Zerg roaches when played by a really good player. So, watching replays did not help me find a solution to stay alive in Starcraft 2 (much less win).

Anyway, while watching Starcraft 2 replays on YouTube one day, I stumbled across the Shokz Guide. At the time, I was really struggling with my game. I was starting to think that I should give up on the Zerg totally as they were so squishy! Before doing that, I decided to give my favorite race one last try. So, I decided to give the Shokz Guide a try. I was surprised to find that the Starcraft 2 strategies taught in the Shokz Guide made me a more formidable player.

So, I created this blog to share the good news. If you’re a new player, the Shokz Guide will help you learn the ropes on how to play Starcraft. The game is really not that hard once you get the hang of it.

The key is in understanding the fundamentals of your Starcraft race’s tech trees, optimal build orders and upgrade investments. You also need to know, by heart, the strengths and weaknesses of your units. So, practice and experience is crucial.

Playing Starcraft 2 will seem very daunting at first, but the Shokz Guide can help you learn everything you need to know pretty quickly about the basic fundamental play of the game. Well, If you are an old and rusty player like me, the Shokz Guide will help you to get up to speed in record time too!

I’ve watched at least 50 Starcraft 2 replays on YouTube across many channels. It’s entertaining and you can pick up a trick or two from the pros. The thing is, you won’t learn how to play like the pros to win in Starcraft just by watching replays. The finer points that you can only learn by practice and experience are very important for becoming a better player. By using the Shokz Guide, I got the learn how to play the game better. Multi-player games need a lot of focus and a plan.

Actually, after watching so many replays, I got very confused. I wasn’t a pro, and not every commentator tells you exactly what the pros do in their game. They comment on the action per se. Unfortunately, I also find some of the YouTube casters somewhat annoying (especially Husky and HD). Oh, but HD and Husky’s channels do have some of the most exciting games, ever. I really like watching Day [9], PsyStarcraft and AskJoshy’s channels as they explain the pro strategies used a little better.

So, if you’re looking for a way to raise your game and maybe stand a better chance of climbing the Starcraft 2 ladder on your server, do get the Shokz Guide … coz winning is everything.
